School District of Edgerton Receives Grant
School District of Edgerton announces that it has received a grant from the Edgerton Community Funds Fall 2023 Grant Cycle of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to purchase more ukuleles for the middle school. With increasing enrollment in general music classes, four more instruments were needed to complete the class set. This grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Edgerton Community Fund Special Projects. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of our communities. Grants from the Edgerton Community Fund Special Projects have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human services, and historic preservation.

Edgerton, Milton, and Janesville School Districts are partnering together to write the federal Carl Perkins Grant. The purpose of the Carl Perkins Act is to connect the needs of the workforce with the skills we are teaching in our local school districts and post-secondary training options. Taher, Inc. is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position in food service for the Edgerton School District.
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a friendly attitude. Experience preferred, but will consider training the right candidate. Responsibilities include cooking food items, setting up lunch service, serving students and cleaning up lunch service. Great part-time job for someone who has students in school as the times you work are during the school day.
