4K Open House
Our three 4K centers will be hosting Open Houses on March 5th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Parents/Guardians of eligible students are invited to meet the staff and become familiar with each site. We ask that only parents/guardians attend (no children) and please limit this to two adults per student.
4K Sites:
Community Primary Elementary, 100 Elm High Dr.
Central Lutheran, 100 W. Rollin St.
Edgerton Children’s Center, 414 Albion St.
4K Registration Process
Step One: Online Registration
Online registration opens March 6th for students who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2026. Please visit the Edgerton School District website at https://www.edgerton.k12.wi.us/registration to complete the online 4K registration for the 2026-2027 school year. Placement into centers is NOT on a “first come, first served” basis.
If you need assistance with the online registration you may call (608) 561-6103 or (608) 561- 6013 to schedule an appointment. Step Two: Birth Certificate Verification
Registration is not complete and placement cannot be considered until your child’s original birth certificate has been verified by district staff. If you do not have the original birth certificate, please order a copy as soon as possible. This step must be complete by Thursday, April 23 for placement to occur.
Please bring the original birth certificate to either: ● Community Elementary School Office (100 Elm High Drive) ● District Office (200 Elm High Drive)
Step Three: Immunization Records
Immunization records will need to be turned into both the school district as part of the registration process and will also be required by our community centers for their records. During the registration process, immunization records may be:
Uploaded during online registration, OR
Provided at the time of birth certificate verification
Step Four: Placement Notification and Bussing
Families will receive placement information at the beginning of May. If you indicated on the preference form that you would like bussing, please note:
You are NOT registering for bussing at that time.
Bussing registration information will be included in your placement email.
What Happens Next?
You will receive instructions to log into Infinite Campus to pay an approximate $15 fee.
On May 29, you will receive information and additional paperwork via email directly from your child’s 4k site.
Additional Notes About 4K Attendance:
Parameters for our 4K program state that children should attend 4K for one year only, the year immediately prior to Kindergarten. If, as the school year approaches, you have concerns that your child may benefit from an additional year of growth before beginning 4K, please contact:
