Greetings from Edgerton Elementary Schools!

My name is Alice Redalen and I feel privileged to be the Primary and 4K Principal at Edgerton Community Elementary School. 

My journey started in Columbus Junction, Iowa, where I was born the youngest of five children. I attended the University of Northern Iowa where I met my husband of 37 years, Todd. I later went on to obtain my Master’s degree from Viterbo College.  Over the years I taught in several districts in Iowa until 2001, when our family relocated to Edgerton and I began teaching at Edgerton Middle School. In 2011 I was appointed the Associate Principal of our elementary schools, and this year marks my first year as the Primary Principal at Edgerton Community Elementary School.  My husband and I attend Ezra church and enjoy spending time with our three sons, daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters. My hobbies include boating, watching movies, completing DIY projects, and reading. 

Our elementary schools and 4K sites are special places filled with dedicated professionals who want nothing but the best for the children of our community.  As the Primary Principal, I am committed to working in collaboration with all parties to provide the best possible education experience for every child that walks through our doors.  I look forward to reconnecting with those of you whom I have worked with before, and to meeting many new children and families.
