The Edgerton Performing Arts Center will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a Holiday concert featuring the Chicago Brass Quintet. The Quintet performed here in January of 2004 to kick-off the Wartmann Artist Series.  This concert is dedicated to the loving memory of our friend and Board Member, Nancy Dickinson.

As Chicago's original brass quintet, these five virtuosi possess the technical and musical mastery needed to perform music of all periods and styles with equal aplomb. The Quintet brings style, grace, dazzling technique and humor to every performance. The Quintet has been performing for more than 40 years. Currently they tour internationally throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America. They have recorded for the Delos, Centaur, Crystal, GIA and Covenant labels, and have broadcast often on WFMT, National Public Radio and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The Quintet will be joined by Pianist Christina Giuca Krause who enjoys a dynamic career.  She is the Artistic Director of Lynx Project, a nonprofit art song organization dedicated to building community and amplifying underrepresented voices through innovative recital programming and educational initiatives. Christina is a pianist and coach with Chicago Opera Theater, Northwestern University, North Park University, Music of the Baroque, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center and has been on faculty at Lutheran Summer Music Festival since 2018.

A native of Janesville, WI, Christina holds a BM from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and MM from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. She was also a recipient of the Postgraduate Collaborative Piano Fellowship from the Bard College Conservatory.  www.christinagiuca.com
